Is it at all possible to have seen the Myrtle form of the yellow
rumped warbler at Green Lake in Seattle? On the north shore, I
saw a pair of birds, one of which was an Audubon form male, I
believe. Nearby was a similar bird, but which had a pure white
under-chin patch, rather than yellow. It was also overall a bit
lighter, with more white and less black striping on the breast.
I thought this must be the female, until I got back and looked
in the field guides, which all indicate that the Audubon form
has yellow under the chin, no matter what.
