Yesterday (4/21/97) at about 7:10 p.m. PDT I heard several loud
"Skreeeeches" in the side yard. Mariners game was just starting. Had
never heard the sound before. Looked out to see what in the world it
was and there was a large, male California Scrub Jay checking out the
feeders! First I've ever seen around my house. Saw one near the post
office in downtown Olympia WA last spring. My location is 122 degrees
