Posted to OBOL and Tweeters on an occasional basis with the =
understanding that in small doses this is acceptable under the protocols =
of both groups. Thanks.

Here is my current sale list. Not much, as the legislature is in =
session and I can't do much else. The prices include 4th class =
shipping, except as noted. Prices are in U.S. dollars and must be paid =
by cash or check. Refunds are available within ten days of your =
receiving the book. Discounts are available for purchase of multiple =
items, and it never hurts to ask if you like the book but don't like the =
price.

Biolog. Vols. 1-14, 16-17. The publication of the University of =
Portland (and its predecessor "Columbia University") biology club, =
1934-1951, missing one volume. Includes about ten articles on birds and =
ornithologists; the bulk are general biology and pre-med related. =
Includes article on early collector Edmond Currier, with a rare photo of =
him that even George Jobanek had never seen. $50

River Valley, Peru. 135 page paperback. $12.00

Egger, M. 1980. Bibliography of Oregon Ornithology: An updating for =
the years 1971-1977, with a revised, cross-referenced list of the birds =
of Oregon. 76 pages paperbound. New. $3

Evans, E. 1940. Bill and the Bird Bander. Well, you have to see it to =
appreciate it. A book for children about children's experiences with =
bird banding and related conservation issues. Some photos. Hardcover =
with protected dj (slightly scuffed and chipped). $6

Farner, D. 1952. Birds of Crater Lake National Park. The classic =
180-page paperback with detailed information from the park. This is THE =
basic reference for the park and one of the only pubished references for =
the Cascades of Oregon. $12

Gabrielson, I. and S. Jewett. 1970. Birds of Oregon. Dover paperbound =
reprint entitled "Birds of the Pacific Northwest," but the same text as =
1940. Very good condition. $20

Out of print. $20.00

King, Warren. 1967. Preliminary Smithsonian Identification Manual: =
Seabirds of the Tropical Pacific Ocean. Illustrated by Tina C. Clapp. =

bright red dust jacket. For my money Eckelberry is one of the best bird =
artists of the last fifty years. Has a raised previous owner's seal on =
title page. $18.00

Reed, Chester. 1965 reprint. North American Birds Eggs. A tremendous =
number of black-and-white photos of eggs (and some nests) in this =

I'll give first crack at this to people working on Oregon Breeding Bird =
Atlas project.

Roberts, Thomas. 1955. A manual for the identification of the birds of =
Minnesota and neighboring states. This is the 275-page reprint from =

Pyle's passerine i.d. book; much more recent than Coues' Key. Also has =
some line art such as goldeneye heads, tern wings, scoter and scaup =

guide. Very good. $28.00
