I looked in my bird book,Stokes (Western region), and it shows a
separate picture of the "Yellowish male". The picture is labeled as
such. I took this to mean that they are distinguished from the other,
more common red males. It seems that if it were a juvinile, it would be
labeled as such. My reasoning is that others are pictured as
"Juvinile".
Can anyone help with a clearing-up?
