Tweeters: Thrilling sight sunday in Spokane on the first bridge out of town
on the Sunset Hwy: I was observing a large twig and branch nest looking for
raptors. Thought there might be something there. Just then a large Raven
(crow?) came to the nest and three or four large crow/raven fledges came to
the top of the nest with big, wide mouths agape for a welcome feeding. It
must take quite a bit of food to feed those large, hungry critters. Parent
bird immediately flew off in search of more food. Am I wierd??? This is the
first time I have ever seen young crows/ravens being fed! It won't be long
before they are on their own guessing from the size.
