The white-crowns that recently showed up in my yard jump up on the deck =
for an occasional sunflower seed. When the chickadees come back, they =
scee-daddle.

One summer I spent on Brewster Flats (white-crowns were everywhere), I =
set up a flat feeding table in the backyard near some small conifers. I =
covered it with standard millet and the white-crowns would completely =
crowd the surface feeding. Here I use only black sunflower and niger =
seed to keep the house sparrows away.
