Pat, I've got about 50, gadz, maybe 75, coming to my feeder. I toss them
the cheap, generic, birdseed that's heavy to millet. I've noticed they
also work on sunflower, and are particularly fascinated with scratching,
towhee style, in my piles of discarded sunflower hulls that I piled but
never got to the compost pile. If you have any, or can quickly cultivate,
any bare ground or ground covered with material they can scratch, I'll bet
they stay until that migration yearning comes.
