If you live in the north end a quicker route instead of the Bainbridge Is.
ferry is to take the Edmonds-Kingston ferry and follow Hwy. 104 over the
Hood Canal bridge. Also some excellent birding can be found at Oak bay on
Marrowstone Is. for the different birding locations at Oak bay please
read the writeup in Wahl & Paulson. If you get a chance excellent
shorebirding can be had in both the spring and early fall (July and
August).
