Hi Dennis -
In response to your killer crow message I
wanted to mention the findings of a barn owl
study done in the northeast somewhere -
New York I believe. It was published as both
scientific and popular accounts. Seems
crows harrassed the barn owls regularly if
they had access to them, and one owl was
driven out over the ocean by a mob of crows
and never seen again. On a dietary note, I
watched a captive, rehabilitating crow catch
and eat chickadees who were foolish enough
to land on his aviary...the crow would pull
them right through the chicken wire.
Will you be in your lab today, Thursday, or
Friday at about 5 p.m.? I still have owl wings
to return to you for David Johnson...the
several times I have called I get the
message of you being out ill in March - hope
all is well now.
