I had a surprise today as two male LAZULI BUNTINGS worked my feeder till
dark this evening. They along with two golden crowned sparrows who
also showed up today to join two dozen or so white crowned sparrows.
They were all cleaning up after the cowbirds who kept the feed flying
from the feeder.

We still have an eastern blue jay in Electric City ...

What was the swollen shut eye disease affecting house finchs' mentioned a
few months ago on TWEETERS? I have a h. finch with this symptom, the 2nd
one here in as many years.

Does anyone know of a market for owl pellets? What are they worth? I have
about 5 gal. collected last winter from sharpie's, Great horned and
mostly Long eared owls.
