Since I got some direct replies, as well as several postings, I
thought I'd post the reply of the Delorme rep. Maybe if they heard
from enough birders, they would add this info to the revisions.

Dear Mr. Broadus,

Unfortunately, our Atlas & Gazetteers for Washington and Maine are
unique as they are the only states that had township and range data
available at their time of production. When we produce a new edition of
an Atlas we update as much of the information as possible and sometimes
add new data when we can. However, there are no guarantees that we will
be able to add any particular new features during the updates. The
second edition of Oregon was released in 1996 and the third edition of
Northern California in 1995. There is usually about 3 or 4 years
between updates.
