My better half and I were out videoing California Quail from July 10
to August 3 in the Spokane area and we have noticed the following:
1. There are lots of young quail ranging in ages from
just out of the nest to fullgrown juveniles with most family units
over 10 young.
2. Much to out surprise, we happened on a female
still on the nest with thirteen eggs.
3. This has been a wet and cool year until recently
in the area.
4. Three years ago we had similar conditions in the
Spokane area which resulted in a long nesting season for quail.
Anyone finding this true in other areas?
