Fellow flighted fauna followers,

Last week yielded the most excellent sighting of the summer, a bat swooped
twice through my very small, undeniably urban backyard. I heard the hiss of
blood as mouth met mosquito. I suspect the bat might live in my neighbor
Bill's attic...a house most inviting to all species that burrow, drill,
excavate, or hang.

Monday night I spotted a male western tanager in the 11500 block of 36th
Avenue NE.

Best,
Wallis
