In response the shade grown coffee question. Without revealing who I work
for (ahem) I am interested in the issue myself. I have witnessed meetings
with representatives from companies interested in (blank) (nameless company)
carrying organic coffee. I know of some of the outcomes of those meetings.
I can tell you though I don't think the employees are instructed to say or
not say anything. I think it is that the person being asked is not informed.
It would be better to go on the company's website and pose the question dir-
ectly to the person who can give you an educated answer. I know that Star-
bucks now employes 25,000 employees. I would not expect all of them to know t
the answer to specific questions.
I will be emailing some ppl in the hope to get some information back to you all.
