A quick trip (August 7-8) -- and largely *non*birding -- up Smith and then
Beaver Creeks in the Selkirks produced the following birds:

Vaux's Swift (Hidden)
Boreal Chickadees (Hidden)
Chestnutbacked C'dees (Smith)
Golden-crowned Kinglets (Smith & Hidden)
Dark-eyed Juncos (Smith & Hidden)
Townsend Warbler (Smith)
MacGillivery's Warbler (Hidden)
Wilson's Warbler (above Hidden)
Gray Jay (Hidden)
Steller's Jay (Hidden)
Clark's Nutcracker (Hidden)
White-winged Crossbills (Smith Creek & Hidden Lake) -- there were a large
number of these, including a family group of three that repeatedly
returned to the fire pit in the camp site at Hidden Lake. The young one
was begging food.
