Hi Rick,
I missed the staging swallows. I wondered where they were. All I
saw were an occasional one flying around here and there. Last year
there were thousands of swallows staging on the road into Spencer Island
and I wondered if they had already left this year.
I also missed those Bairds but then I didn't peruse the Westerns and
Leasts as well as I should and the Stilt took us a great deal of time
for me to ID. He was very cooperative including a short flight to show
us his tail pattern. I need to go back and continue to look through
those little guys. A Semipalmated Sandpiper would be a life bird. I've
seen the Stilt in Texas.
Well I've gotten run. Let me know how your next trip to Spencer
turns out.

PS. Rick, I mailed this to your email first and it came back as
undeliverable. Maybe I had the wrong address.
