A small flock of 3 to 4 Western kingbirds put in an appearence at my
brothers wedding in Gig Harbor saturday the 23rd. Two of the birds chased
each other noisily for several minutes around the yard. One cooperative
individual perched in a tree for 15 minutes affording excellent views.
The birds stayed in the area for about an hour then flew to the south.
Also, Friday at Spencer Island was a red-necked phalarope and an Eastern
kingbird, as well as many Empids.
