A breeding plumaged BAR-TAILED GODWIT(european race) was observed and
comfirmed
today, but due to the bird being on private property,birders are advised to
watch for further
information at a later date on "tweeters".
The juv. RUFF was again observed and photographed also today at Ocean
Shores on
the Damon Pt. pond. Other notable species observed included: 3 SEMIPALMATED
SANDPIPERS, 2 STILT SANDPIPERS, 40 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES, 2 PECTORAL
SANDPIPERS, 3 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS, 35 MARBLED GODWITS, and 3 BRANT.
