Just to add to Michael Price's post about Cowbird parasitism: About 15
years ago I witnessed my first Cowbird parasite being fed by a Dark-Eyed
Junco. This past summer I witnessed my second one---being fed by my
beloved Hooded Orioles ! Ah, if only the parasitism rate was this sparse(
8^) ) ! I loved Michael's wishful thinking about the meteorite.......
A bright note for today: The first returning Mountain Chickadee in my back
yard !
