We are passing along a message from Ken Knittle and Patrick Sullivan who
reported seeing a Hodsonian Godwit at the Walla Walla River Delta late
Sunday (8/31/97).

For directions to the Walla Walla River Delta see DeLorme page 40 T7N R31E
Section 27. Take Rt 12 South of Pasco towards Walla Walla. Just before
crossing the Walla Walla River, pull-off onto a dirt road and park next to
the railroad tracks. Walk down towards the mud flats. Apparently you will
need to slog across the mud to see the bird.

We plan on making an early morning trip to the delta and will provide an
update tomorrow.
