Hi folks,

Sorry for this second post on the same subject, but I'd left out of my list of "Elma" birds, seen
today, a beautiful Northern Shrike. It appeared to be an adult - little (no) buff-brown; a very
"clean" looking bird. It "chriped" once, but did not go into its song -- it still amazes me that a
shrike can have such a nice voice, when it decides to sing....

It harried a flock of house finches, in passing. But, for the most part, it spent most of its time sitting in a willow, watching into the grass/clover field. Looking for a vole?
