Esteemed fellow tweetsters,

H'm you can tell I want something...;)
I'm working on the Pied-billed Grebe account for the Birds of North America
project. Trying to standardize the many descriptions and names for the
vocalizations.
I don't know if the editor is going to go for this, it hasn't been done in any
of the accounts I've seen. But if it isn't used here, I'll get it published
elsewhere, I'm sure. I want to include an evaluation/description of
commercially available song recordings and make the connection to the written
descriptions and sonograms the account will include.
I own Peterson Field Guides to Western Bird Songs (CD) and Stokes Field Guide
to Bird Songs (eastern region, CD). But I'm looking for tweetsters in the
Seattle area who own one or more of other bird song recordings including the
CD-ROM software programs that contain Pied-billed Grebe vocalizations (any).
I would like to impose on person(s) and come and listen to the various
recordings, so I can give a review of what people are hearing. I communicated
with Lang Elliott who made the fabulous recording for the Stokes CD. I
commented that the recording is so clear I heard frog-like "twangs" I had
never heard before. Turns out they are frog calls!
Anybody out there capable/willing to help me out? I just can't afford to buy
all of them.

Thanks in advance,
Martin Muller
