Hi, Tweeters,

It's just over a week before we leave for Washington. I've been reading
Tweeters for several weeks now and have a question about decorum.

Is it gauche to make a target list in an rfi?

I tend away from it because it sort of implies that one species is more
"desirable" or "important" than another and I AM the type of birder who
just likes to be in nature and notice everything, including plants,
invertebrates, smells, sounds and common birds.

That said, I still keep a life list and there is a thrill in getting a
lifer and I won't deny that. The rfi I sent to Tweeters and Birdchat a
few weeks ago didn't mention target birds and a few people asked me if I
had any.

Should I send another rfi with a target list? What's the "right" thing
to do?

Happy bird-day.

Indecisively,
Ken
