Hi Tweets,

Irene Wanner & Rob Conway write on traffic-stopping Bald Eagles.

A regular Baldie butt-rest in Vancouver BC is in a large doug-fir at
roadside along Point Grey Rd., in the 2500- to 2700-block area.

According to a friend, stopping pedestrian traffic on the Granville Mall in
downtown Vancouver BC a couple of weeks ago was a large owl that parked
itself in one of the spindly little bare trees along the mall. This is a
fairly regular event about this time of year, though it doesn't happen every
year. On percentages, even money says that it was a Barred Owl. I'd go
further and suggest it was likely an adolescent looking for territory after
the parents have given it the boot.
