I received two bits of encouragement and no discouragement to write a
species wish list for our trip to Washington so here goes.

We'll be there Dec 13 - Jan 5.

We're staying in Bothell (N of Seattle), but will be quite mobil. Our
last two trips to the area were in the summer and we drove the entire
Olympic peninsula (what a great place!). This is our first time in
winter. We're trying to prepare ourselves mentally for all the rain.

Wish List:
The loons (Yellow-billed and Pacific would be lifers, but it'd be neat to
compare them with Red-throated and Common)
The alcids (only ever seen Pigeon Guillemot and Rhinocerous Auklet)
Trumpeter and Tundra Swans together (life experience rather than life birds)
Greater White-Fronted Goose
Any grouse
Rock Sandpiper
Wandering Tattler
Red Phalarope
Fulmar
Mew Gull
Thayer's Gull
Glaucous Gull
Kittiwake
Any Owls
Red-breasted Sapsucker
White-headed Woodpecker
Three-toed Woodpecker
Varied Thrush
Bohemian Waxwing
Hutton's Vireo
Harris's Sparrow
Golden-crowned Sparrow
Any longspur
Any Rosy Fonch
White-winged Crossbill
Eared Trogon (whoops, how'd that get there?)

If we look for a lot of those, we'll see a lot of Washinton which'll be
fun all by itself. But where should we go?
