[I know that owl-fake near the Skagit Wildlife Refuge. TOO well!]

Another one that always grabs my attention is an owl-fake on a power tower
near the northern intersection of I-5 and I-405, in Alderwood/Lynnwood.
It's a perfect place for a raptor.... (never seen a live one there yet,
but I'm still trying!)

I remember my first Christmas Bird Count, with Phil Mattocks, several
years ago, when I learned the term "stump duck." ...Variations on that
theme have served me well, many times.

Good birding! EB
