Subject: Bald Eagle @ Green Lake

This evening at 3:50 pm an adult Bald Eagle was atop the big fir tree "over"
Aurora avenue on the west side of lake at the cross walk that crosses Aurora
avenue.
It was incredible to watch. The crows kept their distance and watched as it
watched the lake.
I have never seen a Bald Eagle in "the city". Not too many big cities I know
of have them hanging out. I hope it sticks around. Maybe it was visiting
from Discovery park?
(by the way is there an appropriate way to address a bird if it is unknown
whether it is female/male, it seems kind of odd to address a Bald Eagle as
"it")
:)
