The Northern Mockingbird was still conspicuously present, right where it
was reported to be, today at 11:30 am. I simply pulled in at Anderson
Park and looked through the wind shield and there was its distinctive
shape on the fence directly south of the park, the only bird in sight. It
ran back and forth along the fence and perched on the scraggly plants just
beyond the fence for a few minutes before flying ocross the river and into
the holly tree. This was a lifer for me and especially exciting as I've
been fascinated by mockingbirds since childhood. It didn't make a sound.
