Howdy Tweets;
Toby Andrews, Thero North, Ethel (oops forgot her last name) and I spent
a great day yesterday on a Hummingbird pilgrimage. For those who haven't
made the trek the Xantus Hummingbird was still at his post on Sunday.
The Peterson's have to be the most gracious "rare bird" hosts I've met.
They have a porta-potty and information table complete with newspaper
articles. Their guest book is almost as interesting as the bird. They
now have over 500 visitors with some who trekked all the way from
Michigan, Ontario and Nova Scotia. Thero dropped off an Audubon desk
calendar which was happily received by Mr. P. He even came outside to
check and see if his band saw was bothering the bird or bird watching.
Anyone who would like to drop off a little "thank you", we thought a
couple pounds of sugar would have been appreciated. He's a thirsty bird.
