Hi tweets, for those that might be interested, I have a brief list of
noteworthy birds from mid-Vancouver Island for Sunday Dec. 7

Townsend's Warbler, one bird was flitting about the trees in town on this
exceptionally late date.

Yellow-rumped Warbler, 3 of the myrtle race were still present

Eursasion Wigeon, 2 males of interest was the fact that one of the males
was in partial molt (perhaps a health issue?, since by this time it should
be in complete alternate plumage)

Tundra Swan (locally rare) 2 were present among the small group of Trumpeters

White-throated Sparrow 1 bird was visiting a bird feeder in town.

By the way, if anyone is interested, our local CBC is set for Jan. 3 and it
is rumoured that there may be a Tofino winter count on Dec. 13.
