I enjoy hearing about the locks since it was a favorite hang-out of
mine when I was going to college. I don't believe that the water
control there has anything to do with Green River salmon. The
Green River is no longer connected to Lake Washington. Didn't the
Black River at one time connect Lake Washington with the Green River?
In any case, we humans (aspiring to be bigger and better than beavers)
altered the hydrology of the area to make it more to our liking.

Perhaps you meant Cedar River.
