Brenda-
Gray Jays have a very extensive vocabulary--I have watched them mimic
a variety of sounds, including the call of a Red-tailed Hawk.
They will usually repeat a call several times, then move on to
another vocalization--either another mimic or some 'typical' Gray Jay
sounds.
