The Mandarin Duck pair seems to be coming to our pond on a regular
basis these days. They willingly compete with the mallards in the chow
line for their cracked corn ration. They arrive at dawn's early light
about 7:30 a.m., sometimes sticking around all day, sometimes flying off
about 9:00 and perhaps returning in the afternoon.
