Hi Brenda,

Last yea, when birding near Spada Lake in eastern Snoho-
mish County, I heard a Gray Jay respond tomy birding companions
Pygmy Owl whistle with a fair rendition of its own. A while later
we were lucky enough to whistle up a REAL Pygmy Owl; while the
Gray Jay did a good enough imitation of the owl to kickstart my
heart the real owl's call was noticeably more resonant or "real"
sounding.
