A friend in our neighborhood (Lake Forest Park; Horizon View area) who is
a casual birdwatcher, and who feeds the birds in her yard, called with the
description of what must be a Three-toed Woodpecker which she saw at her
suet feeder.....ladder-backed and yellow cap. Anything else it could be??
How common is this in the Puget Sound lowlands?
