Following up on my previous posts, here are the observations of
Yellow-billed Cuckoos in BC since the publication of "the Bible" a.k.a.
"The Birds of BC" by Campbell et al. in 1990 (I had the stuff all along, just
took a while to find it):

July 8, 1992 - Westbank, BC , across the lake from Kelowna; visual observation
(Denise Brownlie) of bird skulking in dense shrubbery.
July 27, 1994 - Kelowna, BC; freshly-dead specimen found along the banks of
Mission Creek (Frank Jascow); photos by Verna Smythe and
specimen submitted to Cowan Vertebrate Museum at UBC.

Note that the third record indicated in my previous post was actually the set of
photos of the July 27, 1994 bird in Kelowna so there are only two additional
records since 1990.

Note that a car-killed Yellow-billed Cuckoo in Victoria July 5, 1989 provided the
first BC record since 1927 (in Birds of BC). Perhaps there has been a northward
resurgence of this species in the past decade?
