Does anyone out there have recent experience with good
birdwatching spots, charming inexpensive hotels or other
attractions for winter months in Michoacan, Mexico? My wife and
I are attending a wedding in Guadalajara in mid-January (1998),
and hoping to spend the subsequent couple of weeks traveling by
public transport to and around the area of monarch butterfly
reserves east of Morelia. Any input would be appreciated....
helpful guide books, birding or nature appreciation contacts,
reference materials, web sites, etc.
