As I prepare a packet to mail each team for the Everett Christmas Bird
Count, it occurs to me that CBCs are a ready made way to gather a big lump
of the kind of data that has recently been requested on Tweeters: sexes of
wintering Kingfishers in Washington.

If you're doing, or compiling, a Christmas count, you might think about
keeping track of what you see, and asking at the compilation for the
totals of each sex seen by others. If the person collecting the
kingfisher data will remind me who they are, I'll send them the
Everett data when I get it.
