Tweets,
Scouted by Everett CBC area today and at the Portage Creek Refuge (aka
Ammons Refuge) there were raptors everywhere. One the refuge there were:
2 Short-eared Owls
1 Great-Horned Owl
1 Rough-legged Hawk
3 Red-tailed Hawks
2 Cooper's Hawk (Female and an immature)
2 Northern Harriers
1 Merlin
1 Bald Eagle

1 Pair of Boots full of Water (no these aren't raptors but they were well
earned through trudging through the marshy fields in search of the
raptors) ;).
There were also about 65 American Pipits in the field.

Also had my first Varied Thrush of the winter with 3 birds on the
Arlington Airport trail. See they just wanted to make the CBC's on this
weeekend worry a little about the absence of Varied Thrushes, then show up
on count day with everybody relieved!
