I'm planning to participate in the San Juan Islands (Ferry) CBC and wondering
if anyone (1-3 others, or more if you've got a van) might be interested in
car-pooling up to Anacortes. I would be leaving out of the Bellevue/Eastgate
area via I-90/405, or optionally, I-90/Seattle/I-5 depending on coordinated
interest. A limiting factor for some might be the date, on a TUESDAY,
December 30. This is just an all-day ferry ride (0800-1515hrs) through the
gloriously beautiful San Juan Islands only, from Anacortes to Sydney, BC and
back with stops at Orcas and San Juan I think, maybe another spot , but we
can't get off except in Sydney where we have to, go through customs, pay
again, and get back on. All total, two one-ways (as passengers only) + the
CBC participation fee (optional) is around $25. The CBC won't be a long list.
For sure, we should see Ancient Murrelets, and who knows what else; maybe
something *really special* like a Kittlitz's Murrelet, Thick-billed Murre, or
a Steller's Eider(??) ...I'm such an optimist '-) If interested, email back

will eventually. We would be meeting up with folks mostly from Bellingham
