TODAY...CLOUDY WITH FLURRIES IN THE MORNING. SNOW..POSSIBLY HEAVY AT
TIMES..BY LATE AFTERNOON. HIGH IN THE MID 20S. NORTH WIND TO 10 MPH.
CHANCE OF SNOW 80 PERCENT.
TONIGHT...SNOW..POSSIBLY HEAVY AT TIMES. LOW IN THE LOW TEENS. NORTH
WIND TO 10 MPH. CHANCE OF SNOW 90 PERCENT.

Should make for an interesting day. I will give a full report when all
the data has been compiled and all the counters have a good cup of hot
chocolate in their hands;o). The Anchorage count was a week ago last
Saturday and came up with 41 species. Unfortunately, the Siberian
Accentor was not seen on count day. I heard a few folks joking that
Fairbanks likes to wait until the very last moment to do their count -
so that the severe cold weather knocks off all the birds it can and make
the count total manageable - somewhere around two or three birds.
