Tweets,
This is a public reply for anybody needing the directions. Take the Conway
exit #221. Go through Conway, over the Skagit river and take an immediate
left turn onto Mann Rd. (if you miss this go to the next left turn which
is Wylie RD. both go to the same place). Follow the public Hunting signs
to the parking lot.
For the GT Towhee and sparrow flock go to the boat launch
parking lot, from there follow the direction on the birdbox and elsewhere,
its in the spirea hedge, along the corn field. For the Swamp Sparrow,
Waterthrush and Redpoll (actually the siskin flock which contained the
redpoll could turn up anywhere), go to the main parking lot and walk the
dike trail. Follow the directions on the birdbox for exact locations.
I will be up there tomorrow morning in hopes of changing my luck on the
jinx Swamp Sparrow, if anybody wants to see the bird they probably would
want to get it before I get there, after that the swamp sparrow probably
won't come up again, thinking AHA Scott's here, time to hide ;). Perhaps
I'm a bit skeptical, but then maybe not?
