Maybe my time was due, who knows why but after waiting for an hour early
this afternoon, I found the juvinile Swamp Sparrow at its previous
location. I was able to watch the bird for about 5 minutes as it sat in
the top of bush along the slough. For birders going for this bird, a clue
that will help you find it is to listen for the hard chink note. Good
