Arlen,

Your list missed the citation in Earl Larrison & Klaus Sonnenberg's "Washington Birds: Their
Location and Identification" published by Seattle Audubon in 1968. I quote:

"The senior author and his parents were driving along the Tulalip road northwest of Marysville not
far from Warm Beach on day late in March, 1967, when there appeared beside the road ahead
a large dark bird that evidently had been struck by a passing automobile. The car was stopped
and the bird retrieved; it turned out to be a Great Gray Owl in perfect shape, except for its being
dead..."

Hope this helps.
