I guess the sap is starting to rise, in more ways than one. I'm surprised a
Birder would get so defensive over a mild (and private) reprimand. On the
other hand, a lot of people on the net don't know about protocol, netequette or
even good manners, and may not care. Instead of sweating the small stuff let's
celebrate Spring: here it is the first week of February and I heard both a
House Finch and Robin singing in my backyard. Although they're around all
year, today a bright-plumaged Townsend's Warbler seen only a few feet away was
a real thrill. The hyacinths have emerged, shrubs are leafing out and even my
annual Spring cold arrived on schedule. Enjoy!
