Hi Tweeters,

I'm a Docent in the Garden's at the Huntington in San Marino, CA. We not
only have the Red Whiskered Bulbuls but a large flock of parrots. There
are several stories on how the birds were released into the wild. One
that a pet store fire occured and they escaped and the other that Mrs.
Huntington had an aviary as she loved all kinds of birds and they
escaped from there.
I believe that the Red Whiskered Bulbuls can also be found in Flordia.
We have other non native species such as the Northern Cardinal at
Whittier Narrows and flocks of the Nutmeg Manikins that Kimball Garrett
is tracking.
I do very much enjoy your conversations.
