Apology accepted.

Now, I will be going to Fort Lewis (Tacoma), WA to visit my son & his family
in mid-May. Where do you suggest I take my grandchildren for their first
birdwatching trip with "Nana" (me)?

Is there a local state park or wildlife refuge nearby? I'd prefer to take
them to salt marsh-type habitat with a sandy beach nearby. They are 5 and 6
years old, so if they get tired of birds, maybe we can look for shells or
crustaceans.

Thanks for your help.
