Thanks to all who replied about the bulbuls. At least I know I'm not crazy.

And, it's probably not too exciting to most of you, but I saw my first
Ruddy Duck today! At Phantom Lake, in Bellevue, WA. Their bills are just
starting to turn blue. Also saw hooded mergansers, double crested
cormorants, American coots (of course), buffleheads, mallards, pied-billed
grebes, ring-necked ducks and American widgeons. And in the near by Lake
Hills Greenbelt, 5 red-tailed hawks, dark-eyed juncos, bewick's wren, ruby
crowned kinglets.

If anyone's on the Eastside, this is a great area for birding.

And where can I find those abbreviations you all are using? I don't know
what half of them mean.
