Hello tweets,
Here in Olympia, Washington I have had a mountain chickadee at my
feeder all winter. It comes in 3-4 times daily to a tube feeder filled
with black oil sunflower seeds, alternating with visits to the
neighbor's bird feeder down the block. It ignores the suet. It seems to be
associated with a flock of chestnut-backed chickadees. Lots of daily
nice views of this bird. We managed to get it included on the CBC- a
first for Olympia, I believe. Bill Leonard also saw a mountain chickadee
on CBC day, but I don't know where from.
