This is to express my thanks to all those who responded to my questions
about where to look for birds in Vancouver area.

The response was outstanding. Unfortunately, our time was so limited that
we were only able to visit a few of the places mentioned. However, both my
daughter and I got a "lifer" in the saw-whet owl at Reifel. Most of the
other birds seen were the usual winterers. The most interesting sight was a
face to face view of a harrier which was standing on the ground only about
40 yards away. It was really hard to identify, as we'd never seen one at
that angle before, only flying. Actually, it was not until it flew, that we
got the right idea.

Again, thanks so much for your help. I'll be back one day to look at the
rest of the sites.
